1. Who We Are

NewsAgentData is a news intelligence API and aggregation platform operated as an independent service. Contact: [email protected]

2. What We Collect

API users (api.newsagentdata.com)

• Email address — when you request a free demo key via the web form. Used to deliver your API key and send account-related notices only.
• IP address — logged at the time of demo key request for abuse prevention (rate limiting: 3 requests per IP per 24 hours). Not stored beyond 90 days.
• API usage counters — number of requests made per day, per API key. Used to enforce tier quotas. No request content or query parameters are logged.

Telegram bot subscribers (news.newsagentdata.com / @n3ws_agentbot)

• Telegram user ID and username — stored when you start the bot. Used only to deliver news alerts you subscribed to.
• Email address — if you choose to add one via the web reader for digest emails. Optional.

Website visitors

• We use a self-hosted, cookieless analytics tool (Umami) to count page views and referrers. It sets no cookies and does not track you across other sites. We do not use third-party analytics, advertising pixels, or cross-site trackers.
• Cloudflare processes requests for DDoS protection and may log IP addresses per their own privacy policy.

3. What We Do Not Collect

• No passwords (API keys are randomly generated tokens, not passwords)
• No payment information (payments handled via external crypto wallets — we receive only a transaction record)
• No browsing history, device fingerprints, or behavioral tracking
• No content of your API queries or search terms

4. How We Use Your Data

• Email — to send your API key, quota alerts, and service announcements. You can request deletion at any time.
• IP address — solely for rate limiting abuse prevention. Not used for profiling or targeting.
• API usage counters — to enforce plan quotas and generate your usage summary in the dashboard.
• Telegram ID — to deliver breaking news alerts you explicitly subscribed to.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third parties. The following infrastructure providers process data as part of service operation:

• Cloudflare — DNS, CDN, and DDoS protection. Processes all inbound requests.
• Contabo GmbH — VPS hosting provider.
• Google (Gmail SMTP) — used to deliver transactional emails (API keys, confirmations).
• Telegram — bot subscriber IDs and messages are processed via Telegram's API per their privacy policy.

6. Data Retention

• API keys and email — kept while your account is active. Deleted within 30 days of a deletion request.
• IP addresses (rate limiting records) — deleted after 90 days.
• API usage counters — rolling 90-day window, then purged.
• Telegram subscriber data — kept while you remain subscribed. Deleted when you send /stop to the bot.

7. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the EU or UK, you have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Rectification — correct inaccurate data
• Erasure — request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
• Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
• Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests

8. Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS (TLS). Our VPS is hardened: SSH key-only access, firewall (UFW), no public database ports, API keys stored as hashed tokens. We do not store plaintext API keys after issuance.

9. Children

Our service is intended for business and professional use. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

10. Changes to This Policy

We will update the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, notify active API key holders by email.
